Foundation House
Foundation House is the place where my son's life was saved. This was his 5th attempt at getting sober and we had tried places in and out of the country. When he first arrived, he had real trouble buying into recovery as he did every time before but his therapist insisted we give him time to acclimate to the program. By 6 months in, it was clear that something was different this time. I understand that its AA that gets people sober. But Foundation House was the only place where my son was ready to receive it. I don't know if it was the individual therapy, the group therapy, the 3 wilderness trips he went on, the music studio time they rent for the guys, the athletic leagues they offer, the house culture at the residence he lived in, a combination of all of it, or something else entirely but something began to click. My son's been sober 4 years now and I can't thank Foundation House enough for the effort they put in. I read these other reviews and genuinely hope that their sons have found somewhere that offers their sons a similar experience to the one my son had at Foundation House. But take it from a parent who truly thought they lost their son, Foundation House is the place that brought him back to us.
