Action Family Counseling’s Intensive Outpatient Program provides services to those seeking assistance in maintaining sobriety in Bakersfield California.
Through group work and therapy on an outpatient basis, participants are provided individualized treatment plans, drug testing, addiction education, diagnostic assessment, treatment advocacy, and discharge planning.
Clients are also expected to participate in individual and group sessions on a regular basis. Loved ones are encouraged to assume an active role in individuals’ recovery by participating in family therapy sessions.
The program stipulates a minimum of nine hours of weekly participation, including three weekly meetings.

This group studies the implementation of the 12 Steps in daily living, with emphasis on daily triggers and relapse prevention that is essential in early recovery.Group Therapy
Through group discussion and structured exercises, the clients will gain insight into the complexities of emotional barriers and established dysfunctional behavior patterns that can prevent healthy relationships with yourself/families and others.
