It is unfortunate to hear that your experience was not ideal and did not meet your expectations. Less than one percent of all clients at Adams Recovery Center report a negative experience. I can assure you that your negative perception of your stay at Adams Recovery Center is not the norm. Any client who enters the program is informed of the Suboxone fee, which is non-refundable. This non-refundable fee is explained via intake over the telephone prior to your assessment, and once again when you show for for the assessment *and* you are offered placement in the program. Additionally, all clients who choose to enter the voluntary Suboxone program are given a form to sign that indicates the fee is *non-refundable*, and your signature on the document is counter-signed in the presence of competent staff. Additionally, the Suboxone fee entirely covers the initial visit to the doctor. Absolutely no portion of the fee is used for "transportation," and Adams Recovery Center neither promotes nor discourages voluntary Suboxone treatment. Our competent and professional staff go to great lengths to explain the Suboxone program and the fees associated with such. Adams Recovery Center is a Therapeutic Community. A hierarchy exists to help those who struggle with addiction to re-learn important social skills and delay instant gratification -- something that is a problem for those struggling with addiction. Adams Recovery Center's Therapeutic Community model is recognized by the Federal Government (SAMHSA) as an effective and evidenced-based approach to dealing with substance abuse and drug use disorders. If you have any questions about the program including its clinical implementation, the structure of the Therapeutic Community or the Suboxone program, you are encouraged to contact me and I will be happy to provide additional information. Respectfully, Director Adams Recovery Center.
