The IOP program does not teach core DBT skills as advertised. They use the terms and handouts occasionally, but do not teach mindfulness, the core DBT skill that all others are based on.

This facility does not heverything that they say they will during the application process. I must say the 7 day detox program is great, that is if the nurses actually adhere to the med schedule. The accommodations at residence is similar to a hotel. Breakfast is the only meal prepared on-site. Other meals are brought in from local residents. Most meals are simply too rich for an individual in recovery. I was told my insurance would definitely cover 30 days only to discover after detox, I would be moved to IOP during the middle of the night. Upon arriving at the sober living house (which happens to be owned by the president of the treatment center); I was told I would have to provide my own meals until I released. A stipend of $50 is provided, but it is almost impossible to prepare 21 nutritional meals. I was to have 3 counseling sessions while at residence but only received one. I don't see how a complete assessment and successful treatment plan is determined after one session. There are sober living houses for males and females; however, the females are held to a higher standard than the men. One of the therapists at IOP was more concerned about her singing career than actually helping. Often times, she allowed patients to run the show. If I had to do this over again, I would definitely consider somewhere else.

All lies. The staff is unprofessional and is not a true treatment center. They lied about it being a long term facility but when my husband got there they said it is only 30 days. This is so they can bank on a relapse to rebill the insurance. No one knows what they are talking about and my husband has been frustrated since he arrived. I hate that he selected this facility to help him and all they did is lied. Please do not send your love one there.
