Great environment, caring owners and wonderful program. Best decision you could ever make is to come here for help, highly recommend!! The facility is beautiful and the staff are well trained and committed to the mission. If you are struggling to decide if you should come or not, don't! Look no further, this is the program. Treating depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders and really making a difference in the lives of hurting families.

The first time I came to this facility i got a lot of help from it, but the second time I was even more depressed, angry and sad than i was the first time. Being in this facility with all new staff and new rules that were not there before was a literal hell.

Worst three weeks of my life. I’ve had a lot of trauma by the hands of men and i was assigned a male therapist, something i’d NEVER had before. When i asked for a female therapist, they refused and told me i needed to “go through this journey with a man” whatever that’s supposed to mean. So the whole time i was there i didn’t even get the help i needed because i was uncomfortable with my therapist. (He was also kind of a creep.) oh, and now i’m $6,000 in debt because they neglected to inform me my insurance was kicking me out until the NIGHT BEFORE, when i live six hours away. so i has to pay $5,000 to be there until 10am. Thanks, Adolescent Growth!

It is 1:30 in the morning and we just got home from picking my daughter up from the Lombard facility. We received a voicemail at 2:08 that our insurance was up effective yesterday and I called back within 30 minutes. No one returned my call until 7pm. When they did call, I was informed that they missed a clinical report to our insurance due to my daughter being in the hospital. My insurance had decline our coverage as of yesterday. She had only been in for 7 days of the recommended 45. Dr recommended I wait until a peer to peer review and hope for the best. Meanwhile, she informed me that I now had complete financial responsibility if she stayed the night. We live 3 hours away from the facility and were given no information on what that would cost. When we got there, there was not discharge papers, no assistance for transitioning her out of in patient, nor any information on monitoring the new drugs she as on. The people in the facility seemed genuine and caring. The people running it seem very shady. I also was told that they were in network Blue Cross Blue Shield both during and after the admissions process. Reading the reviews, I am now worried that I was flat out lied to like the previous reviewer. First call tomorrow will be to find out patient help for my daughter, the next is to Blue Cross Blue Shield to see if our dealing with Adolescent Growth is even worse than we thought. Avoid this group.
