Must have been very effective. Son has been sober 25 years; husband is into his 3rd year. Were persistent in their treatments and caring manner. Too easy to walk out before treatment is finished. I understand this but there should be a contract signed that obligates the person to stay a certain length of time, to give the program a chance.

There isn't enough room. My sister was hospitalized here because she attempted suicide for the 3rd time in one year. They did nothing to treat her, only held her for a few days. She was cut off from her family, allowed visitors one at a time for a few hours a day. Then she was discharged with no treatment plan.

I was manic, awake for five days. You meet with a dr and psych doc each day. I got clean on my own.
