This place seemed to be the best place for recovery initially for my love one. My love one had been to several other rehabs but was still struggling after discharge. His main concern was not the drugs but mental health treatment. Unfortunately, there actually are no facilities that care for mental health issues soley for adults 18 years and older that are long term facilities. Because many of these patients usually have some form of addiction coupled with their mental health issues, rehab facilities advertise themselves as dual care facilities that treat both concerns. This was the case with BWR promotion when my love one was referred. Because I knew my love one's needs and history I continually asked BWR about the mental health portion of their treatment and how it would fit into my love one's treatment plan. I was assured that this facility could handle the level of care that my love one needed. However, after admission, it became clear that my loved one was not getting the appropriate care needed for their diagnosis. The more I questioned the services provided the less cooperation I and my loved one received. I was told that the psychiatric portion of care was performed via skype and it was done periodically. This was just unacceptable for a patient who was being prescribed medication ( which affects the brain) without any Real evaluation. Looking at someone's face is not a full evaluation when there are other factors to consider that can not be seen via skype. What I did observe through their family intervention meetings were a lot of returning patients which was concerning because you want patients to receive treatment in a caring environment but you don't want patients to feel comfortable enough to want to return. One thing I did think was profitable from this facility as a caring family member was the support meetings which included family and loved ones involved in the treatment of the patients. These meetings provided a lot of information and resources shared by the other loved ones attending the meetings who had been in this battle for a while with the system and other facilities. In addition to information that included their concerns and questions about the care provided by the facility. One of the biggest subjects was the expected transformation of these patients in just 6-8 weeks. To expect the patient to be ready for placement in an unsupervised in a sober house where they are to gain employment, seek a sponsor, attend meetings and begin living drug- free after suffering for years (for some ) with a drug addiction. They are expected to live this new life as normal as they can after only 6-8 weeks of Supervised treatment. To me that's like taking someone who has been wearing braces on their legs for years and you teach them how to walk in 6-8 weeks with the guidance and support and the braces and then you take off those braces and tell them now walk without the support , you can do it because we showed you how and gave you the tools and literature to be able to do it. Good luck. It did not make sense. I would not recommend this place unless you are looking for information or support from other family members or loved one's experiences.

From the very beginning of stepping foot into this program, I felt very comfortable with the natural vibe and environment I was put in. I have been to many programs (unfortunately), but BWR helped me reach a point of no return, to the way I was living before. Without the unceasing support from my therapist , and the healing I received throughout the 6 weeks I was there, I don't know if I'd be still sober today, just for today! BTW, the review about the food, not sure what that person is talking about because the food was well above my standards. Willing to bet that same person was eating out of dumpsters before coming to BWR. Thank you, BWR! For saving my life

This program was unlike any I had before, from admissions to discharge the program is one of the best I have ever been to and I have been to quite a few. Thank you BWR!

DON'T SEND YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, OR LOVED ONES HERE! There are many places that truly will help treat the fellow addict, that practice and believe in the 12 step program, safe and responsible facilities. If you have a loved one that is an addict, get them the help that they need, but don't send them here because it will only worsen the problem. I am disgusted with the fact that I wasted my money on this program. The men that work in administration are a joke, they lied straight to my face about this "wonderful" program and we are worse off than we were before coming to this disgrace of a facility.

BWR is a great place to get help. Having never been to rehab or after care treatment before I didn't know what to expect. They actually listened to my opinions and concerns and I was able to get my life back. I'd recommend to anyone I know who may need help!
