About Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation

Betty Ford Center has provided world-class addiction treatment services in Rancho Mirage, California, since 1982. With the opening of an outpatient center in West Los Angeles in February 2015, Betty Ford Center now offers the full continuum of services based on the 12 Steps, including assessment and evaluation, residential, detox, IOP, mental health, day treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient and sober living housing. We also specialize in treatment for professionals, young adults and those suffering from chronic pain, as well as prevention and education programs for families and children. Insurance options are now available at the Betty Ford Center, making treatment more affordable for patients. The Betty Ford Center is a part of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, the nation’s largest nonprofit treatment provider. With 16 sites in California, Minnesota, Oregon, Illinois, New York, Florida, Massachusetts, Colorado and Texas, the Foundation offers prevention and recovery solutions nationwide and across the entire continuum of care to help youth and adults reclaim their lives from the disease of addiction. Betty Clinic is neutrally-acceptable. ! They treat you as a reflection of yourself! I was fed like a King! Others... not so much:) They said I have an inflated ego... but I am certain they have no idea what that means. Computer, end dictation and send... No! wai---

No sense of urgency with trying to get in. called for assessment and didn\'t give me a time so pushed off for another day. 3 days now - I threw out my plans. I\'ll figure out. I\'m sure it is great if you can wait.

In many cases we were treated as inmates rather than patients. The beds are very uncomfortable and I would recommend taking your own bedding or buying some online while you are there. Some management are condescending. The food is basic cafeteria. Given that I was self pay ($1200 a day) I expected more.

I highly recommend Betty Ford STRICTLY for SINGLES ONLY! Pros: 1) CO-ED (enough said). 2) Your allowed to keep your cellphones (even during detox). 3) Unlimited & unmonitored internet access to any & all video chat apps/services (i.e messenger, Snapchat,Skype, face time etc. for those lonely nites in your room) 4) All patients are allowed to roam around unsupervised/unchecked. Last but not least (my fav) 5) multiple locations both on/off campus (i.e. single occupancy restrooms, unoccupied staff buildings on weekends etc.) to get a"hands on experience" aka "quickie" with new found friends, who btw are addicts as well. Cons: 1)length of program is way too short to get to know a person. 2) after curfew you must sleep alone. So again I say that Betty Ford is strictly for SINGLES ONLY!!!!
