  • Holistic Therapy

Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.

Writing, making art or engaging in theater can be deeply therapeutic for people working to recover from addiction. Many facilities offer one or several forms of creative arts therapy as a way to help patients learn to express their feelings in productive ways.

Exceptional facility! Staff was caring and well trained. The Holistic approach is amazing! The food is exceptional. I was so impressed, that I still keep in touch with the owners. The bedrooms are quiet and very comfortable. The atmosphere is conducive with healing. Getting clean and sober is a personal choice that is one of the hardest things I have ever done. Being surrounded by competent, positive, and loving people made it easier to transition. Cleansing the body, mind, and soul, gives you a clear path to your spirituality. I was spiritually, physically, and emotionally bankrupt when I arrived there. Within just a few days my entire outlook changed. For me , guilt, shame, and remorse had bogged me down. I had also damaged any relationships that I had. My recovery started as soon as I walked in. The guidance and love I have received rom there helped me and will last me forever. Thank you so much. Give it a try. You will be impressed and healed, but only if you are ready and don't mind being pampered. Outstanding!!!

Blu by the Sea literally saved my life! I love this place! The entire staff is great and help you feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The food is top notch, the pool and hot tub are perfect to help you relax, and the house itself if amazing. If you or any loved ones are needing treatment of any kind I would suggest no other place but Blu by the Sea.

Well considering this facility charges $20,000 for 30 days, I would not have expected to have to fight cockroaches in the kitchen and in the upstairs bathrooms. Also, they push you to visit the psychiatrist which is paid for separately from the original $20,000. I’ll admit, some of the staff legitimately cares about your recovery, but for the most part they’re just there for a paycheck. I want to use drugs more since I’ve been here because of all the stress they cause.

I paid the upfront $20,000 and was told "we will file your insurance and reimburse you all but 15% (their filing fee)". Then at discharge I was told, "we will reimburse you 60 days after you discharge." At this current date, this facility has collected in total OVER 20k from me AND 38K from my insurance; $58,000. I have not received a penny back and they keep saying, "it should be in the mail by the end of the month." Let me rewind a bit, This place makes FALSE ADVERTISING that there is a physician on staff readily available, they do not tell you upfront that you pay OUT OF POCKET for visits to see the psychiatrist, they FORCE you to work like a paid employee (cleaning 3 FULL double sink full of pots/pans plus dishes, utensils, etc. for every employee and clients that resides at the time every evening ; this is on a good day ) Mind you, at when I asked why only females had to wash the dishes every night and men took the trash out the nurse replied, "Well that's just how it is." I am sorry but as a single mother for 14 years, I do everything, that traditional chore did break during my stay; not sure if it maintained. I was threatened to be kicked out because although they are not a "12 step program", I believe in it. I also realized that the pictures on the Internet were not the representation of the same place I was living. The owner, brought me to her office and had my phone stripped from me, deleted all photos; said that if I said a word about what just happened, I wo2be packed and ready to go tomorrow. Like a good girl does that appreciated the group lessons and companionship, I obliged. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE WHO TRULY NEEDS HELP HERE! I will gladly give you the single contacts that are worth while.

Blu by the Sea saved my life! It took a lot of courage to leave and ask for help, but I'm a better mother, wife and daughter because of it. My relationships with my family and friends have improved greatly since I made the decision to seek treatment. The staff was professional and kind during my most vulnerable times. They treated me with respect and dignity and like I was a person. I learned coping skills and how to handle triggers in my life. I can't change my past, but I can tell others not to give up and to get help when they need it.
