Specialization
Medical Detox
Medical detoxification from alcohol or substances is necessary because when it comes to addiction, your brain and body are not always in sync. Your brain may be focused on recovery and doing everything to get sober, but your body may not be ready because it is still under the influence of drugs or alcohol and you are physiologically addicted. This means that your body cannot function properly without getting the alcohol or substances that you have been using for some period of time. Detox is the process of safely bringing the body up to speed so that recovery can be accomplished with minimal risk to your health. Medical detox programs give people the time their bodies need to get rid of the substances or alcohol from their system. When you enter the drug detox program at Boca Recovery Center, you will start your journey to a sober, healthier life in a safe, supervised environment. We will keep you as comfortable as possible throughout withdrawal. Our expert staff can manage a range of withdrawal severities depending on the substance abused and your level of dependence.Inpatient Rehab
People struggling with alcohol or substance use disorders can benefit from participating in addiction treatment programs. The best rehab facilities can not only help individuals struggling with addiction achieve sobriety but also help them overcome the underlying issues that likely contributed to their addiction in the first place. Some people are able to receive adequate addiction treatment in the outpatient setting. However, those individuals with severe, long-term alcohol or substance use usually need to participate in an inpatient rehab program to recover fully. Residential treatment programs for drug or alcohol addiction have proven to be highly effective. Such programs help individuals embark on the journey to sobriety and maintain long-term recovery.Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
At Boca Recovery Center, we offer a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for individuals who are in need of intensive rehab treatment for their substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health issues, but are ready or able to live independently and engage in activities of daily living as they prepare to move back into the community. These are individuals who do not require 24 hour medical supervision, and are able to attend outside 12 step meetings, and go out on passes in the community with sober support. However, these clients participate in treatment 5 days a week for 6 hours, and 3 hours on a Saturday. There are sober social events and activities built into the program, and clients are encouraged to find sponsors and start building a sober support network.Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an alcohol or drug rehab program designed to help recovering addicts reintegrate into society and lead fulfilling lives. As the name suggests, participants in an IOP receive intensive therapy in an outpatient setting. Recovering individuals learn relapse prevention strategies to lead them toward a drug-free future.Outpatient Program (OP)
Substance abuse is a complicated issue that impacts all the areas of an individual’s life, including family, work, health, and finances. A person in the grips of addiction often reaches out for help. Outpatient addiction rehab centers provide alcohol and drug treatment to those in need. Outpatient rehab centers offer many types of addiction rehab and assistance in recovery. During outpatient treatment, individuals at that level of care are required to visit the rehabilitation center regularly. Outpatient rehabilitation programs are usually suitable for people who do not require medically-supervised detoxification, intensive treatment, or around-the-clock supervision. The outpatient program for substance use disorders at Boca Recovery Center provides a strong program of therapy and support to recovering individuals. The goal is to provide our clients with the tools and direction they need to achieve lasting sobriety.Family Therapy
When you think of the typical happy American family, drugs and alcohol are never in the picture. Yet, this is a harsh reality for many families across the nation. Thousands of homes that appear “normal” on the surface are struggling with substance abuse ranging from occasional heavy drinking to severe ongoing street drug abuse. Addiction affects people from all walks of life. It can affect parents, children, siblings, spouses, and members of the extended family. It might surprise you to know that more than 30 percent of children removed by Child Protective Services from their homes is due to drug or alcohol use by a parent.Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma and substance abuse are undeniably linked. Some people are driven to addiction as a method of coping with severe trauma. Others lead a lifestyle of addiction which predisposes them to traumatic experiences. Often, the situation is complicated, and it is impossible to tell what came first – trauma or addiction. What we know for sure is that trauma and substance use disorders often go hand-in-hand. Traumatized individuals have a high rate of dependence on various substances like alcohol, cocaine, heroin, benzodiazepines, and opiates.Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of psychotherapy that is used to treat a variety of mental health conditions. It has proven to be very effective in addiction rehab. DBT helps people struggling with substance use disorders learn new skills to solve the problems that are causing their addiction. These skills include distress tolerance, emotional regulation, interpersonal communication, and mindfulness. During dialectical behavior therapy, recovering addicts are taught coping strategies that are critical in helping them move away from drug and alcohol use. At Boca Recovery Center, we utilize dialectical behavior therapy to discourage drug use in our clients. Our DBT therapists help clients seek healthy environments and remove triggers and toxic relationships from their lives. DBT therapy at Boca Recovery Center bolsters confidence and self-esteem in recovering addicts, helping them to stay sober even during stressful periods.Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy technique that helps recovering individuals overcome substance abuse. This is accomplished by changing the way an individual thinks and behaves. In addition to addiction treatment, CBT is also useful in managing a wide range of mental health problems that frequently co-occur with substance use disorders, including anxiety and depression. The fundamental concept of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is that a person’s thoughts, emotions, and actions are interconnected and that negative feelings can trap a person in a vicious cycle, leading to problems like addiction. CBT deals with a person’s current problems and does not focus on issues from the past. The idea is to provide people battling addiction a way to improve their state of mind on a daily basis.Eating Disorders
At Boca Recovery Center, we recognize that an eating disorder is a serious and potentially fatal illness related to a person’s behaviors, thoughts, and emotions. We provide a range of treatment options for eating disorders, including psychotherapy, nutrition education, medical monitoring, and medications. It is important to understand that eating disorders commonly co-occur in individuals who are struggling with substance use disorders. While it may vary as to which disorder developed first, treating one without treating the other simultaneously can often lead to feeling like you are playing a game of “whack-a-mole,” in that, if you treat one issue, there is a strong likelihood that the other issue will become more prominent. This is known as “symptom substitution.” The best way to address this is by working on the treatment of both issues at the same time.Christian Rehab
Christian Rehab for Drug and Alcohol Addiction Addiction is a challenging condition to overcome. An individual who is lost in the depths of addiction can use all the help they can get. In addition to detox and psychotherapy, spiritual support and guidance play an important role in recovery for people dealing with drug and alcohol abuse. There are many faith-based drug rehabs and Christian recovery centers to help people battling substance abuse. These facilities provide spiritual guidance as part of addiction treatment. At Boca Recovery Center, our focus is on understanding our patients’ needs based on their addiction, co-existing medical conditions, and religious beliefs. We offer Christian faith-based alcohol and drug rehabilitation services for clients who are spiritually inclined.Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Recovering from addiction is one of the most challenging things a person will do in their lifetime. Luckily, there is a range of effective treatments available to help recovering individual’s overcome their dependency. Psychotherapy is the mainstay of addiction rehab. It helps recovering individuals examine the unhealthy behaviors that fuel their addiction. In addition to therapy and counseling, certain medications can help patients during their treatment. This is known as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). MAT increases the effectiveness of other addiction treatments and decreases the chances of relapse. The Medication-Assisted Treatment program at Boca Recovery Center utilizes FDA-approved drugs to treat people with alcohol and opioid addictions. Medication-Assisted Treatment is offered in conjunction with psychotherapy to help clients get through detox and actively participate in their recovery from substance use disorders.
