Specialization

  • Medical Detoxification

Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

The focus of cognitive behavioral therapy (also called CBT) is helping people to understand the thoughts and emotions that underlie their addiction with the goal of learning new, healthier and more productive ways to understand and express themselves.

My name is Matthew Noreen and I was a resident here at CBH from 6/22/2020 through 7/23/2020.. I just Graduated the program in 32 days and I am writing this because I am truly Thankful to them All.. I would like to Give CBH 7 Stars but it will only let me give 5 .. CBH is a fantastic place to get your Body .Mind and Sprit back into shape. ALL the Staff here are fantastic and attentive to what you are going through. The Therapist here are Truly top notch and take the time to truly help you and get to know you , your needs and get down to that nitty gritty of what your blocing out.. They even help you and your family reconnect if there is an issue there.. . My therapist while here was Dulce .. And I must say she is a 10 out of 10 . She truly was very attentive ,Listening to me and calling me on my BS and helping me reconnect with my wife helping us learn new ways of communication so the we will be able to have a healthy communication style in our marriage .While also helping teach me new healthy coping skills for me to deal with life in a health way . I truly am so very thankful for being lead to CBH.. If you are looking for help do not hesitate to call them and ask for help it will be the Best start to your new You ... There facility is truly very nice .. You have your own rooms , a community pool and rec area , Misters and shade for the hot desert days .. Fantastic food cooked for you by Eddie and Tyrone . You get to go on daily walks as well as fun outings even in this Covid 19 times.. We went to the Beach , Hiking in Idyllwild, Hiking and Swimming in a waterfall in Palm springs .. This is just to name some of the things they take you to do as events ...They truly are working hard here to help you step up and out of your comfort zone so that you can grow... So if you are looking for help Like I was and want to put in the work to get the Help .. DO IT... Remember ( YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT IN ) ... Truly do not Hesitate to call Paul or Melissa to get started on the new you ....

They actually walk you threw all of the 12 steps in the first 30 days then if you choose to stay you go into CBT while also getting one on one counseling sessions with your therapist Plus an individualized treatment plan you work and change aspects as you grow weekly with a separate counselor, both of which they have multiple to make sure your paired correctly to maximize the full potential they offer, But they don’t pick you up and shake you off then make you better, they stick their hand out and give you the chance to brush yourself off and grab on excepting the trust and guidance of the staff while you hold on and walk until your ready to walk next to them and don’t need to hold on only the support next to you, knowing you’ve made family out of the loving and genuine staff they have made the Irecover family, with an amazing outside meeting with even more family for years to come if you allow it you’ll never fall flat of knowing you have people who will take your call and love you threw anything. The owner has made sure this is the way someone giving their all will feel once it’s time to move on from rehab and start their new recovery life. If you didn’t find anything good out this place then you didn’t open your mind and heart to them and excepted Passages Malibu or a vacation with the delusions your initial reaction to its a beautiful relaxing vacation like atmosphere and amenities offered. But to play in the sun you’ve got to weather the storm of programming during the week like the adult they are reminding you, your must get back into being. I love you serenity staff and owner plus everyone at how it works, I owe you a mind set for life and myself I genuinely wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else, in Palm Springs is the only place I’ve truly felt home, and always since my first experience in 2015 calls my heart back to. I promised 1 month and stayed 7 back in the IOP off campus boys and girls housing set up days, the best I’ve felt and most about myself I’ve ever learned thank you for convincing me to stay allowing me to stay and pushing me to get outside myself and genuinely love me as much as my family. 100 out of 10 all day any day for this place and the people.

I do not recommend this place. I was there a few months ago and did not receive the level of treatment necessary to keep me sober from alcohol and drugs. My sobriety has come from Michael's house recovery in Palm Springs. They are exceptional. God bless and be well.
Official Facility Response:

Harold, I do apologize you didn't receive the treatment and care you desired. iRecover is under new management as of February 2019 and our treatment philosophy is provide the very best opportunity towards long term sobriety. We are NO longer a 12 step Program. Our clinicians are Master Level and you will receive the treatment and care to get to the core issues. We also have License Vocational Nurses and Medical Assistants on staff. Our treatment plans are tailored to each person and you will have the best opportunity towards long term recovery. In the next few months we will re-brand to California Behavioral Health.
