Cenikor Corpus Christi TX-HORRIBLE communication with these people & that's only IF anyone answers the phone! Supposed counselor, (from the intensive residential program), MS SOLEIL sent my son packing in late June Texas heat, 6 hours from home WITHOUT food, water, money, transportation, his SUBOXONE or even a bus token! (I spoke with her so she was 100% aware of his circumstances) She DID NOT provide the counseling required during the time he was there. She is VERY condescending, unprofessional and rude. This woman has caused more harm than good to my son in his time of need and I will stop at nothing until she is exposed to the proper authorities!!! I wish more people would report these types of abuse because I know my son is not the only victim! He ran into TEN residents at the greyhound station that had been kicked out that same day for various reasons. A quick google search will reveal Cenikors illegal practices, lack of responsibility and FRAUD! I wish I had done my research sooner. I have reported this facility to Texas Health and Human services office of Inspector General & I'm only getting started because this type of behavior and lack of compassion IS NOT what the government block grants are paying for! Don't let "non profit" fool you! Do your research. They (many Cenikor facilities) are getting over paid and being ordered to return money for services they did not provide.

After studying the website, reading filtered 5 star reviews and watching great promotional videos I thought Cenikor might be perfect for my son. He was well liked, had a positive influence on others (despite availability of drugs) and was considered for internal responsibilities after a short time. However, and now a month later, I have to revise my impression. He was placed into a work program with XXXMetals which turned out to have an impact on his previously injured knee due to repeat heavy use of that leg and knee. He went to the hospital and was given a knee brace to avoid additional injury or false moves. Physical therapy was recommended. He was able to perform all sorts of other activities without a problem. However, it now appears as if Cenikor has to fulfill a \"labor quota\" with XXXMetals because within 12 hours it was decided that my son had to vacate the premises. No attempt was made to place him in a different job or function. During a brief phone conversation with Cenikor staff, to which a witness was ordered in, I was told that \"they can\'t keep him there because he could injure himself when climbing stairs or get into or out of the van (knee brace?)\" and that they \"were not a hospital\". Of course, the initial positive feeling and hope my son had, turned into the opposite and to me it appears that a money driven organization is hiding behind a \"good Samaritan\" image. Being well liked by many, including counselors and making progress and then being \"tossed\" had a deep impact on my son. He felt he was being robbed. The XXXMetals labour agreement now appears to have the character of a chain gang. My son is lucky to have me, providing all he needs; but how about others simply being \"kicked to the curb\" without a place to go ? Based on additional information collected about this \"non profit org\" I have requested a review of Cenikor. Needless to say, HOPE had to give way to utter DISAPPOINTMENT. Time wasted . To the residents of Cenikor: Good luck and get well.

Corruption runs deep here.... Coming from a medical background I was embarrassed and appalled that I had to bite my lip and turn my head at unprofessional actions of 95 percent of the staff...The Cenikor policies and procedures book means zilch at Cenikor Austin... instead of the health, wellbeing, and needs of the clients being of the priority, the Dollar signs in the management members eyes is the main focus at this exemplary facility....The few staff members that weren\'t under the director and supervisor spell have had to resign to keep from working under illegal situations and placing themselves in a disasterous ordeal that pushed their own sobriety...I could go on and on but I have wasted enough of my time on this so called Rehab center....I will let the attorneys sort it out... please for the sake of God 🙏 don\'t....DO NOT send your loved ones here....

I just want to let you know that I think the Cenicor program is the best. Greatest councelors I\'ve ever been involved with . Taught me more in two months than I\'ve learned from the five previous treatments I\'ve been involved in.

Hey, Cenikor is a big corrupt joke. A podcast series exposes Cenikor and like rehab/work programs for what they really are. You\'ll receive no meaningful therapy & be put to backbreaking work for no pay. Andthe CEO, refused to be interviewed despite repeated requests.
