Designed for women w/children and family. Transitional housing options. I was ready to get treatment by the time I got to First Step. Anyone can get treatment but if they are not open and willing to do whatever the facility requires, they won't succeed. First Step gave me structure and discipline, guided me in the right direction when I needed it.

They focus on more than just recovery. They also help you with job training, how to properly act at a job interview, provide clothing for interviews and teach u how to approach your criminal record at a interview. They also help put you on the path to having your own apartment. They help you achieve your ged also. They allow your children to live with you if they are under the age of 12 but if it's cold out , snowing or raining they don't help with transportation you have to walk and a lot of women have newborn babies also They have to take in the cold. I feel during cold weather they could give kids rides to school/daycare. I love the facility bc they help with more than getting clean which we need bc recovery isn't just about getting clean it's about living life better in EVERY WAY
