Addictive helping other addicts. Not big enough.

Strengths: staff experience, ability to enforce rules, enforcing AA compliance. in detox the beds are hard as rocks, the sheet and blanket were like a 90 year old hanky and was forced to use the same bedding for ten days. pillow was about 2 inches think and hard as a rock. it truly felt like prison. the food was leftovers from the larger facility and sat around all afternoon, I saw it sitting outside at the larger "in-house facility" for hours with flies on it. The food was so bad i couldnt eat it. AA steps and entertainment meetings were forced down our throat regardless of religious preferences. staff would come into our rooms and go through our personal belongings and in the middle of the night they would come in and look around and even rippied the covers off of me once. it was the worst experience i've ever had.

Willingness to confront hard issues and to make an effort to get to the underlying issues. Not enough financial support, limited resources. Made it easy for loved ones to participate, help, and adequately learn how to best deal with and interact with the party suffering from addiction.
