Gateway Foundation— Caseyville

what some patients dont understand is this facility emphasizes on changing clients behaviors and everyday life so they have the knowledge&discipline not to fall back into the situations that brought them there. As a former patient yrs ago, it took me time to get that point but now i can see just how gateway distinguishes themselves from other programs.

I would like to give -1 star. If you are looking for help for you or a loved one, please do NOT choose this place. They are not there for the well being of the addict. The DO NOT teach you anything at all. I felt like I was in an adult daycare. You don\'t learn anything by watching a movie about an addict. Like someone else said, they were more worried about keeping the boys and girls separate. They are rude and the only thing they are worried about is getting your payment. The lady with the fake eyebrows has no compassion for people whatsoever!! You are required to go to \'class\' for 3 nights a week but it is not a class, you learn nothing. If you relapse you may as well forget it. They still want you to attend classes but they no longer help you and they treat you like crud!! I\'m begging anyone that is looking for help, do not go here. It\'s sad because there is one woman there (T) who actually treats you with respect and really wants to help you but the others are all uneducated and should not be working with addicts or people! At least pretend like you like your job. I don\'t know if all of the facilities are the same but the one is Swansea is a waste of time and money. Worst experience of my life and a huge waste of money!

always there when we needed to talk to someone about how our loved one was doing and ready to answer any questions we had. first off a person has to admit they have a problem but with the help of dedecated staff you can kick the habit it took our love one some time but he made it dont think he would have if not for gateway and the wonderful staff who didnt judge him but took the time to help him.

Untrained counselors...The person used again.

Gateway seemed to help my son: he enjoyed the environment and seemed dedicated to trying to change his lifestyle. He really felt a good rapport with the counselors there.
