Hampstead Hospital offers comprehensive treatment for men and women suffering from addiction. In addition to crisis stabilization and detoxification, the rehab provides residential care through its Recovery Matters program. Treatment is firmly grounded in the 12 Steps, and carried out in a compassionate, supportive and nurturing atmosphere. Emphasis is placed on helping clients develop a solid support network outside of treatment, as well as establish a stable transition plan and utilize effective coping skills to manage the challenges of everyday life.

Their staff are intelligent, helpful and kind. They offer immense help, treatment and are great with coexisting disorders. The food wasn't great, not really any options for vegans or vegetarians. The food caused me to become ill at one point. The hospital is great for those who can afford it. However, it doesn't accept many Medicaid or Medicare insurances.

The zero tolerance working mentality of the staff doesn't allow for spontaneous emotional expression if it isn't positive. Individually none of the staff was cruel, but the environment isn't nearly as healing as it could be.
