It was a disappointing stay. As far as Meridian facilities are concerned this was the best but some of the staff lacked discretion. When I brought the matter up it only seemed to cause it to worsen. Though I can’t say without assumption, it felt retaliatory. Comments of mine seemed to be struck down for the mere sake of being contrarian and clients were given non-answers or deceptions in order to quiet them. I didn’t feel safe or respected at Lake Shore save for the nursing staff whom were awesome and most of the technicians.

I went to this facility twice. The first time was amazing. My counselor was the most caring and understanding person in the world, but tough. The second time was terrible. My first counselor quit because of how poorly they treat their employees. I ended up with a counselor who hated his job and literally said every morning that he couldn\'t wait until he could go home. The management that had nothing to do with our treatment got involved in people\'s programs and a lot of patients/clients left. One staff member in particular had personal problems with many of the clients. The food was not nutritious and there was very little exercise involved. I don\'t recommend this place at all. They are more concerned about profits instead of people\'s needs.
