Addiction treatment at the North Bay Recovery Center is grounded in the belief that long-term recovery is most successfully achieved when clients actively participate in their own healing process. The gender-specific facility provides men with an innovative "full-immersion" treatment program that allows for real-life and community integration, as well as intensive therapeutic interventions and reliance on AA’s 12 steps. This holistic approach is designed to treat the whole person, enabling the treatment team to work with each client on a truly individualized level.

Meet the Staff
Laura Bishop, MSExecutive DirectorLaura Bishop has a decade of experience working with individuals and families in recovery. Laura earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Santa Barbara, and her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University. She completed her post-graduate training at a recognized co-ed adult facility, where she specialized in substance abuse and eating disorders. In addition, Laura has worked closely with adolescents struggling with addiction and other co-occurring disorders. She believes that treatment is the stepping stone for change, and finds the work immensely gratifying.
Tyler KnightCo-Founder/CEOTyler Knight is an Arizona native with strong ties to the Bay Area. He has a passion for helping the still-suffering alcoholic and addict achieve life-long sobriety. Having personally suffered from alcohol and drug addiction, he understands the hardship, challenges, and struggles that one faces while trying to achieve sobriety. He looks forward to sharing his experience, strength and hope with everyone at North Bay Recovery Center as they embark upon their life-changing journey.
