Trauma Informed Care
EMDR stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. It’s a method used in psychotherapy to help someone process old memories and/or retrain the brain to deal more appropriately with triggers or stressors.Adventure Therapy
Adventure therapy, martial arts, yoga, and Pilates add a release to stress as well as building confidence and trust in their physical ability. A weekly Spirituality group speaks in a general way to their soul, and the attitude necessary to facilitate healthy change. Weekly music and art encourage creativity to open their minds to new abilities. Neck and body massages are offered along with Wellness Consultations, including but not limited to topics of sleep disturbance, depression, and anxiety relief. The Wellness program supplies new skills to complement the state-of-the-art clinical treatment.

- Dr. Alberta Montano DiFabio, PhD, LCADC, CCSClinical DirectorDr. Alberta Montano-DiFabio has worked in every level of addiction treatment (detox, short-term inpatient, long-term inpatient, outpatient). Among her positions Dr. Montano-DiFabio has served as an Evaluator for the New Jersey Alcohol and Drug Certification Board, Crisis Counselor for Union County Crisis Center and prosecutors office, and a Director at the Shire Adolescent Inpatient Facility. Over the course of her thirty plus year career, Dr. Alberta Montano-DiFabio has worked in every level of addiction treatment (detox, short-term inpatient, long-term inpatient, outpatient). - Lorianne Toth, MA, LAC, NCC, LCADCPrimary TherapistLori has been working in the fields of mental health and addictions counseling for the past 19 years. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Rowan University, completed training at Rowan as a Substance Awareness Coordinator, and received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology and Addictions from LaSalle University. Since then, she has received her certificate as a Nationally Certified Counselor, is a Licensed Associate Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of New Jersey.
