Specialization

  • Client & Family Support Groups

Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.
  • Family Program

Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.

Unfortunately this facility is a horrible representation of the company Recovery unplugged. To be fair to recovery unplugged has a great philosophy and program in other locations. I was conned out of a 300.00 copay when I was there for 2 days out of the new year. Then I was verbally abused first thing in the morning by the program director. Then asked to leave for making a grievance and politely stating my concern and the lack of professionalism going on. I was refused a copay refund for the time I didn’t use. And to top it off they literally threw me out on the street, with absolutely no concern for my well being. To wait for my 65 year old dad to find his way to pick me up. If you are looking for real recovery go their facility in Nashville or Austin. I’m not writing this review out of spite but hoping to save any one from such a bad example of what recovery unplugged stands for.

Unfortunately I cannot actually rate the above areas as my loved-loved left the program only after 2 days. This is no reflection on the facility's effectiveness. The admissions process was very supportive and they helped make it easy. They required the full balance of the copays for about 25 days of treatment which was over $800. These were days he did not receive treatment yet I was told I would not get a refund as he received treatment for at least 1 day and ".....according to the contract you signed.....", you were made aware of this policy. My son signed the contract not knowing how much money we would lose. I feel this is just wrong. My son still needs treatment but now I can't help him. Not one person explained this policy to me when I paid it. I will be pursuing this with the authorities. Bottom line, be sure you know what the fine print says before you pay.

Nice option for someone who does not need rigidity, confinement of lockdown facility and can do well is more open program. Home like setting; not lockdown; self regulated. Dr not always available. Group counseling, not enough individual sessions.

It's a great place, the counselor gives amazing lectures on how the brain works, and he's figured out things about addiction and how the brain changes as your addiction progresses and the possibility of basically rewiring the brain to enjoy other things to combat addiction. It's all very exciting to think about retraining your behaviors on that level, to feel hope about actually being happily sober. Most of the counselors are amazing, caring people, the living situation is awesome, and you learn and do so many cool things. The counselor that made me leave made did it arbitrarily and unfairly. I had my boyfriend and family in the living room because I thought you were allowed to show your visitors the home you were living at. I was made to leave, but my friend who had her boyfriend in our room was not even talked to about that. I really think that I could have gotten a lot from the treatment. I was so upset that I obviously relapsed... hard.
