Specialization

  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Patients who undergo intensive outpatient treatment continue to live at home and sometimes go to school or work while participating in a highly structured treatment protocol that is focused on ending substance abuse. Programs vary in terms of how much treatment patients receive, how often and for how long. Some facilities design individualized intensive outpatient treatment programs.
  • Medical Detoxification
Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.

I have been to Recovery Works in Etown twice now. I have so much respect and love for all of the staff. Upon arrival i was told my experience and what i got from it is on me. If u sit around focusing solely on the fact that u dont wanna be there or complaining about the fact that ur not getting ur way then ur time there will be wasted. I left early my first time. Simply because i didnt like not being in control, having to learn structure, or being disciplined for my actions. My second time was completely opposite. I participated, followed the rules, paid attention, and actually put forth an effort. I showed the staff respect, tried to be helpful, opened up, made friends, and stopped looking at the facilities little imperfections. I left with so much more knowledge, understanding, and tools to help me on my journey. The food was good and u were never left hungry. The nurses were always helpful, kind, and supportive. The RA\'s were incredible and really tried to show u they not only understood but cared. The counselors, especially mine, was amazing. I am now 1 year 4 months and 14 days sober thanks to everything i learned from this facility and the ppl that work there. I am still contacted by certain staff members, checked up on, made aware that im not alone, that im loved, and that they care. The friendships i made are with the best ppl ever and are still going strong. I am grateful for everything i received here. God forbid i ever need to return, but if i did i wouldnt wanna go anywhere else. U get what u give ppl. Ur only gonna get something out of the program if u put something into it. Thats with any facility.

Horrifying would be the best way to describe this place. They treat you like criminals even if you’ve never been arrested. The counseling is pathetic, food sucks, creepy environment. You feel like your in a 1940’s insane asylums in East Germany. It’s been a few years & I still get a bad feeling all over my body every time I think of this place. They use humiliation & threats of dismissal to try to encourage involvement and intimidation is common especially toward the most vulnerable. Being here for 4 weeks was definitely the lowest point of my life, not drugs & alcohol. Recovery Works & everything it represents was my bottom.

I was an employee there and you would not believe the horror. They cap insurance so if you have passport good luck getting in. I tried making it better but it only made me wanna drink.

This place is a no go! This is not a mens only or women's only. This is a men's and womens facility. People having sex behind buildings, sneaking off and going to the liquor store right up the street and coming back and getting drunk, drugs brought in. Not an ideal place for someone you love. IOP is the worst. In 3 weeks time we got one visit that lasted an hour, no phone calls on the weekend and maybe 2 calls during the week. None of them were over 5 minutes each and you are on speaker phone and monitored. The counselors do not call you or inform you of anything. At all. This place is an absolute joke.
