reSTART
1001 290th Ave SE, Fall City, Washington, 98024
As the nation’s only retreat center focused on technology dependency, ReSTART treatment uses the 12-step approach combined with life-skills mentoring and coaching, counseling support and clinical intervention to help people overcome dependency on digital media and their co-occurring mental health challenges. The reSTART Internet Addiction Recovery Program is designed to help launch tech dependent youth and adults back into real life interactions, starting with a 45-day period of abstinence that introduces participants to a variety of activities and life encounters that are often avoided or underdeveloped as a result of excessive gaming or internet use. Treatment then goes on to identify and address the core issues (family dysfunction, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc.) that often drive digital addiction by connecting clients with integrative community service providers equipped to handle the underlying conditions.

Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.Holistic Therapy
Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
