Specialization

  • Medical Detoxification

Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Patients who undergo intensive outpatient treatment continue to live at home and sometimes go to school or work while participating in a highly structured treatment protocol that is focused on ending substance abuse. Programs vary in terms of how much treatment patients receive, how often and for how long. Some facilities design individualized intensive outpatient treatment programs.

I was very disappointed with Rimrock Treatment Center. My child was there for 22 days. It took 1 1/2 weeks to even get her admitted and even then we were not told she had a bed until we drove 500 miles to get there. She was released on New Year\'s eve in a city she did not know with no ID or money. My child was put on 5 different medications with absolutely no follow up. The staff would show up late and were unorganized for group meetings. Important medical notes from the counselor were not shared with our insurance company which had made the decision to end coverage for residential treatment. From beginning to end, our experience was very frustrating. I would not recommend this treatment center.

After getting use to the environment etc. our heath insurance said they would only cover first half of th e 28 days. Family and staff did not include me in the decision making to remain the entire time, (cost was enormous!) It became harder and harder for me in small group sessions. The Counselor did not hold same expectations for every individual, letting some members sleep during important presentations! Cliques were never discouraged by a majority of staff. Never saw staff observations by establishment supervisors.

Do not send your kids to the adolescent house unless you personally know the staff. My son was refused treatment in less then 12 hours to accommodate a resident that wanted his own room. Rimrock charged me $1800 for less then 12 hours of "services". Do not send your kids to rimrock
