strenght:Roots Through Recovery places a heavy emphasis on trauma, and all of its staff are highly trained and each is certified and passionate about the practices they use. They have Masters-level therapists trained in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, DBT, mindfulness and meditation. They also do lots of engaging activities to get to the root of trauma and addiction, such as art therapy, yoga, psychodrama and bring in nutritionists for support. Groups are kept small and there is an emphasis on individual therapy as well. The relapse prevention and case management components are unique in that they are very individualized and the staff stop at nothing to get every client the help they need, in and out of treatment. The program is very inclusive so they don't require that clients subscribe to any particular support community, but everyone is encouraged to find the one that fits them best. Everyone is encouraged to practice abstinence but no one is excluded from the opportunity to get treatment. weakness:I have not found any weaknesses at Roots Through Recovery The people who work at Roots Through Recovery are some of the most committed and compassionate people I've ever met. A lot of outpatient programs just operate during treatment schedule hours, but the staff at RTR are always accessible and won't stop working with a client until their needs are met. The center itself is brand new and is really comfortable and nicely decorated. You will feel right at home there.
