I have been out of SRH and sober for 7 years. Back then, the counselors here helped save my life. They fostered an atmosphere of unity and fellowship that had everyone in there helping each other to get recovery. Also, the food was decent, but the beds sucked. I don't know how much it changed since my 60 day stint but it was very helpful for me back then.

I remember being greeted with open arms. I was brought in and really needed some clean time under my belt. We ate lots of good food and some of us did lots of chores. I didn't like the smokers getting favs, while I worked. Some of the men were nit picking on me, like a bully. Staff did their best and I'm going on 120 days clean, looking forward to Stand Down. God bless the staff for bringing me in...off the streets. WOW. I completed 29 days there and never looked back. 😎

The meals there all come from the foodbank and you will have a horrible experience after eating there. The staff has favorites. There was a guy there privately paying $2500 a month and was caught using, they let him stay because he was paying over $1300 for his stay and eventually booted him from the program for messing up for the 3rd times but a few people funded by the county never had a dirty test and because he "assumed" someone had drugs in the house and kicked out 4-5 people for "assuming" they had something in the house they shouldnt have. Nor fair at all, like i said they have favorites. I was sober my whole stay and still am.... But its hard for me because i am on the street.
