The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place subscribes to the philosophy that addiction is a primary, progressive, chronic disease that affects the individual physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Our goal is to restore strength, hope, and recovery to individuals and families struggling with the disease of addiction.

Specialization

  • Individualized Treatment
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
  • Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.

Please be careful sending your loved ones to the Farley Center, especially if they are high risk for Covid complications (high blood pressure, smoker, diabetes). The Farley Center does not practice social distancing. At times the cram over 50 people in one room not all staff members wear mask and only 5 percent of patients wear masks. Surfaces are not cleaned frequently in the rooms that we sit in for over 6 hours a day (never seen the chairs cleaned even once). It is dangerous and not every person admitted is covid tested. Counselors and Doctors are great for the most part but nobody gives a damn about prevent the spread of covid.

This place was a horrible joke and a huge waste of time and money. If you actually want help- DONT GO HERE!! They treat you HORRIBLY... all of the staff. When you’re the ones paying their salary.. it’s ridiculous and sad. The nurses who dictate you’re withdrawls, since you can barely get in to see your assigned physician, and you’re treated like a child. The nurses even made fun of the patients. This place is beyond a joke. If you want to destroy yourself or a family member more than drugs already has, then go here.

Therapist knowledgeable. They had a Confront Group the same people were confronted every week about the same petty things. I would have been better off to have just attended A. A. meetings.

This outfit is a total fraud and an insurance milker. It should be shut down immediately. If you are a licensed professional in any field and you go there, you will be subjected to brainwashing and your career will be held over your head as a threat while they tell you that, "You are free to leave any time you like." They worship the DSM 5, as if it we gospel. They give you assignments to force yourself into the mold of an "alcoholic" or "addict". Then, once you have shave off your corners and fit yourself into a round hole, they try to convince you that you can never be healed of this "disease". It is incurable, and any time you experience a set back, you need to come to them for healing; you can't do it on your own. They will insist that, upon discharge, you attend 90 meeting of poor souls like yourself in 90 days. In that way you will reinforce their brainwashing, and keep yourself trapped in their system. Relapse is their financial goal. They have a 15% success rate. Ask your tormentor, " Why can't I just quit like i quit smoking?" They don't have an answer for that. If you are a pilot seeking admittance under the HIMS Program, definitely avoid this place. The FAA requires 28 days in a facility, but these bastards won't even tell you when you might be leaving for at least 5 weeks. The shortest period I ever saw for a pilot was 7 weeks. If you don't enthusiastically agree to everything they say, you need more weeks in the re-education camp. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD FACTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
