TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission to The Raleigh House of Hope, clients undergo an initial psychiatric, substance abuse, and nutritional assessment. The vast majority of treatment programs use assessments in their treatment processes. If necessary, a medical staff advises and oversees medication-assisted treatment (MAT), as the facility offers several medications commonly used to manage the withdrawal symptoms from multiple substances.
Although the program recommends participation in a 12-step fellowship, clients may also attend alternative support groups. The 12-step program is used in 73 percent of treatment facilities in the U.S. In addition to peer group involvement, clients participate in one-on-one therapy, specialized group counseling sessions, and life skills training.
Emphasizing peer support, The Raleigh House’s program combines 12-Step immersion with evidence-based treatment, holistic methods, and recreational activities to promote healthy, long-term lifestyle changes. These include indoor rock climbing, boxing, CrossFit, and yoga. The treatment center also facilitates outings to events in Denver, and clients may elect to become involved with various community charities and services. For a select group of clients who qualify, the facility offers a range of experiential therapies, such as equine therapy.
