Transitions Inc

1650 Russell Street, Covington, Kentucky, 41011
Transitions offers a second chance at life for people who have lost hope in themselves. We restore this hope by giving them the tools they need to live as sober and productive members of our community. We restore hope to families by educating them on the disease of addiction and facilitating discussion between them and their addicted family member. We restore hope to the community by offering a safe place for those seeking treatment and by providing daily meeting space for practicing members of recovery groups like Alcoholics Anonymous.

Specialization

  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Patients who undergo intensive outpatient treatment continue to live at home and sometimes go to school or work while participating in a highly structured treatment protocol that is focused on ending substance abuse. Programs vary in terms of how much treatment patients receive, how often and for how long. Some facilities design individualized intensive outpatient treatment programs.
  • Detox

Though not all rehab facilities offer “medical detoxification,” all people with an addiction to drugs or alcohol will experience intense physical and emotional changes and discomfort as their bodies react to withdrawal of the addictive substance. Many people use the term “detox” to refer to the period of time (ranging from a few days to a week) when the body is reacting to an addict’s decision to stop using.

group meetings were good, staff not trained for the type of work, too lax on rules lack of control. If looking for treatment, check staff training, adherence to rules, know what you want and NEED, this is serious not summer camp. after care a must, each case is different and must be treated as such

They provide a greatly needed service. Very busy; though most participants are court ordered more staff would be helpful. They provide adequate services in a high needs area.

Family oriented center. I stayed with my children while receiving help which I believe is great. Not enough resources and/or help with all the issues dealing with addiction. Not the greatest experience, but I wasn't the best person at the time either. I do believe the intention of the Wrap House is to help people.
