Valley Hope Of Cushing

100 South Jones Avenue, Cushing, Oklahoma, 74023
Valley Hope’s 70-bed treatment center in Cushing, OK, is located midway between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Housed in a stately mansion on a large acreage overlooking the city of Cushing, the center provides a rural, relaxed setting to ensure a comfortable atmosphere for healing. Specialization

  • Individualized Treatment

Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
  • Family Program

Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.

Our son was there for 6 wks. and he got treatment that he needed . When he was released he came out with a better out look on life. He had the tools to cope with his addiction . We spend one week going through the same treatment he did and we also had the tools to help us cope with addiction, We were very happy with the facility in the way they did the treatment. We were also happy with the results. The facility was kept clean. All the staff members were friendly , through, helpful and were there to help every one.

I have been a patient at Valley Hope Cushing twice and when I relapsed I did not hesitate for a second on deciding where to go. When I got there the first time I was confused about what to expect and withdrawing pretty bad and received immediate and always compassionate care from the nursing staff. Everyone there from the Program Director down to housekeeping, maintenance and the kitchen staff were always willing to do anything they could to help us. The counselors were amazing... very insightful , compassionate and caring. Mine could read me so well that I'd never play poker with her. After 3 days of detox we were allowed to sign out and leave the property for up to 3 hours a day for AA, NA meetings a Wal Mart trip or whatever. After my relapse I arrived there with my tail between my legs feeling a lot of guilt and shame about what I had done and having to come back but all I heard was that they were glad that I was there and that they were happy to help me. The food was almost always good with a few dishes that I personally did not like and there was plenty of it. The facilities were very nice with a library, TV room and a nice patio to hang out on. There is a Recreation Committee among the patients that come up with activities. If your insurance cuts you off financing is available w/o a credit check, mine was at 6% unsecured. This is not a mental health facility, they deal with addiction but do look for and at underlying problems. All in all I'd recommend VH to anyone with an addiction problem, it is a very compassionate facility and I've never been hugged so much in such a short period in my life.

I bonded with the other patients more than the staff. Everyone is welcoming and supportive. Three years clean and I don't regret a minute or a dollar I spent at Valley Hope.

Decent treatment but terrible uncaring Director at Cushing. No accommodations to attend church. Kitchen not able to provide adequate alternatives for vegetarians. Wouldn't even add beans to salad bar. Was told I could pay out balance after insurance, but corporate office said no and turned me to a debt collector. Regret going to this facility because of the stress now. A shame, because the treatment was decent.
