  • Holistic Therapy
Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.

Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.

Effective treatment, great staff, amazing and international foods, and beautiful location and program. My favorite part would have to be the spirituality groups with Richard and the meditation time with Shendo. The rest of the program runs so smoothly, I can easily say that this is number one out of the ten \"rehabs\" I\'ve been to. However, as the name suggests, this is NOT just your ordinary rehab; this is a RENEWAL center. Be prepared to leave your past and grief/loss behind you and learn from it; absorb your present moments and be in tune with your surroundings; and delineate from worries, yet prepare for the future. This is THE time to start fresh, clean slate, brand new, and you\'ll get the help you need along the way through this program! Wishing you, whoever you are, safe journeys into recovery. The path is clear, we just choose not to seek it until it\'s too late. Don\'t be like me, tenth rehab; be like me, however, and be a success story that\'s been through Vista Taos.

The spiritual and fellowship aspects of my experience at Vista Taos was life changing. The staff and the program allowed me to explore my addiction and my recover in a safe holistic approach. The food staff was excellent and the facility is located in the beautiful Taos valley, which provided a wonderful place to heal and start my path to recovery. Thank you Vista Taos.

Vista Taos was such an incredible and healing experience for me! I highly recommend this facility. All of the staff are in recovery and are truly dedicated to helping addicts begin their journey into recovery. The Facility is intimate and allows for a unique and personalized recovery. The food is incredible and the Chefs onsite take care to attend to dietary needs while presenting a large variety and nutritious and delicious meals three times a day! I will be forever grateful to the incredible men and women of Vista Taos and for the experience of beginning my recovery there.

I went to this facility back in November of last year. One thing I noticed is that when I got there they said that I had a infection which I do believe that I did have. I have attended several rehabs and by far this one of the worst that I have ever gone to. There was not a Dr. on premises he was a Dr. that was retired I had seen him just once in the three weeks that I was there. All contact with Dr. was through calls or emails that staff sent to him. In April I finally went to the Dr. back home well it was actually to late because the infection had spread into my right foot and I lost my leg from below the knee. Perhaps if a Dr. had been on the premises then maybe I could have received the right antibiotics to have prevented this infection. I found most of the staff very rude. Please do not let the pictures of how shiny everything is because that is not correct. When we go outside to smoke the side walks were hardly ever cleared from the snow making it very treacherous to walk down to the smoke area. zJust to be honest I would do some serious investigating before I would advise anyone to go there. No I did not finish my time thee and I had to beg my husband to come get me. He knew from the sound in my voice that I was in trouble at this facility. This disease of alcoholism is extremely difficult and dangerous and I am still trying my very best to maintain my sobriety. What sobriety that I have at this time is based on my work with AA. The Taos facility did absolutely nothing to help me at all. Be wise before you choose this place research wisely.
