Seacrest Recovery Center

515 South Federal Highway, Boynton Beach, Florida, 33435
Your Life Recovery Center takes a holistic approach to treatment planning. We offer traditional group/individual therapy while incorporating alternative/emerging therapies such as EMDR, bio-neuro feedback, yoga, music, art and outdoor/experiential therapy. This approach may include AA/NA principles. While we at Your Life Recovery Center are proponents of the 12 steps, we realize that AA/NA is not for everyone and acknowledge that there are many paths to recovery. Participation in AA/NA is encouraged but not required.

Specialization

  • Individualized Treatment

Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
  • 12-Step

The term “12 Step Program” describes a way to recover from addiction that is based on the model developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. Many drug and alcohol treatment centers base their treatment on 12 steps – the first three of which are situational, the next four addressing the practical issues created by the addiction, followed by two steps focused on making amends for hurting others. Steps 10 and 11 involve a deeper examination of the previous steps and the final step is focused on helping others avoid and recover from addiction.

Where to begin. I started working at this facility early December of last year. They claim to have the best statistics around, it’s all BS. It is family owned and operated, and the grandmother and step grandfather who own it treat their lower level employees like slaves. They paid me less then what was agreed upon. THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU FULL TIME HOURS HERE CONSISTENTLY. THEY DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO OFFER BENEFITS TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. THEY ALSO DONT OFFER PAID TIME OFF. Its a big money scheme, and all of their clinicians are paid well to sit there with their titles. (Ands that’s it. The owners know they couldn’t do this without the titles of those who work in the high positions) I would not recommend this place for employment or treatment. They don’t want full time employees because they are cheap and greedy. Their business will fail eventually.

I took my son to Your Life on a Monday. We sat with the therapist and explained that he had co-occurring mental health issues. It did not seem to be a problem at the time. I get a call the next day, on a Tuesday that he was being very disruptive in class and that I would need to pick him up because he couldn't sleet there overnight. So, I made the 1 1/2 hour drive to pick him up and bring him home. Their quote was "we've never dealt with someone like him before"! Really? None of your residents have had co-occurring mental issues along with their addiction? A total waste of time and energy. What do they want? Perfect patients that behave properly? I guess they don't want to earn their exhorbitant fees.

Strength: None that I found except rooms, but you can get that a any nice motel weakness: They lied about everything, mostly about being able to take a patient with type 1 diabetes
